Why FlyListings

The best of a broker and a marketplace — without the downsides of either.

We built FlyListings because aircraft sellers shouldn't have to choose between paying thousands in listing fees or giving away 8%+ in broker commissions. There's a better way.

What Makes Us Different

01

Free to list, always

No listing fees. No monthly charges. No hidden costs. Your aircraft goes live on our marketplace at zero cost to you. We only get paid when your aircraft sells.

02

Full-service brokerage included

Unlike listing-only sites where you're on your own, every listing includes professional brokerage services: buyer qualification, marketing, deal coordination, and closing assistance.

03

Lower success fees

Traditional brokers charge 5-10%. We charge 2-6% depending on aircraft category. You get the same full-service brokerage at a fraction of the cost.

04

Broker-mediated communication

Every inquiry goes through our brokerage team. We screen buyers, filter out tire-kickers, and only connect you with serious, qualified prospects. No spam, no wasted time.

05

Your information stays private

Tail numbers, serial numbers, hangar addresses, and your contact details are never published. Only our brokerage team sees your private information.

06

We handle the hard parts

From marketing your aircraft to coordinating pre-buy inspections, managing offers, navigating escrow, and closing the deal — we handle the entire process so you don't have to.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to list my aircraft?+
Nothing. Listing your aircraft on FlyListings is completely free. There are no listing fees, no monthly charges, and no upfront costs of any kind. You only pay a success fee when your aircraft sells.
What is the success fee?+
Our success fee depends on the aircraft category: 6% for piston aircraft, 4% for turboprops, and 3% for jets (2% for jets over $5M). This fee is only charged at closing when the sale is complete.
How is FlyListings different from Controller.com or Trade-A-Plane?+
Those are listing sites — they charge you a monthly fee to post your aircraft, and then you're on your own. No buyer screening, no deal support, no closing coordination. FlyListings is a full-service brokerage with free listings. You get everything a traditional broker provides, but without the high upfront costs.
How is FlyListings different from a traditional broker?+
Traditional brokers typically charge 5-10% commission and may require exclusive listing agreements. FlyListings charges lower fees (2-6%), our listing agreement is non-exclusive (you can still sell on your own or use other brokers), and we never charge upfront fees.
Can I still sell my aircraft privately while it's listed with FlyListings?+
Yes. Our listing agreement is non-exclusive. You retain the right to sell the aircraft independently or through other brokers. However, if a buyer who was introduced through FlyListings purchases the aircraft, the success fee applies.
How long does it take for my listing to go live?+
After you submit your listing, our team reviews the details and photos. Most listings are reviewed and published within 24-48 hours.
Can I remove my listing at any time?+
Yes. You can request removal of your listing at any time by contacting us. We'll process the removal within 2 business days.
How do buyer inquiries work?+
When a buyer is interested in your aircraft, they submit an inquiry through our platform. Our brokerage team reviews the inquiry, qualifies the buyer, and then facilitates communication between you and the buyer. You never have to deal with unqualified leads.
Do buyers contact me directly?+
No. All communication is managed through FlyListings. This protects your privacy, filters out unserious inquiries, and ensures proper deal tracking. We connect you with buyers when they're qualified and serious.
What if my aircraft doesn't sell?+
You owe nothing. Since there are no upfront fees or monthly charges, if your aircraft doesn't sell, you pay nothing. Our model is designed so that our success is tied directly to yours.
What types of aircraft do you list?+
We list all categories of general aviation aircraft: single and multi-engine pistons, single and multi-engine turboprops, and jets from entry-level through heavy cabin. If it flies and you own it, we can list it.
How do I get started?+
Create a free account, then navigate to our Aircraft Listings page and click 'List Your Aircraft.' Fill out the details, upload photos, accept the listing agreement, and submit. Our team will review and publish your listing.
